Museum in Yogyakarta - Yogyakarta Monument







Museum Sonobudoyo Unit II is an expansion of exhibition space Sonobudoyo Museum which was inaugurated by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X on October 28, 1998. Museum of Struggle






Struggle Museum was founded with the aim to commemorate the struggle against Dutch colonialism in Indonesia. Located on Jl. Cabbage. Sugiyono 24 Yogyakarta and inaugurated in 1961. Building the museum is unique because Paste Round shaped architectural style which is a blend of ancient Rome and the East, which symbolically reflects the independence of Indonesia dated August 17, 1945.

The museum is collecting historical objects of struggle, such as reliefs, sculptures, photographs and tables and chairs. The number of collections there are about 200 pieces of the history of the struggle of the Indonesian nation from the year 1908-1949

Yogya Monument Back - Monjali







The monument is located on the road back Yogya Yogya - Magelang through the northern rim of the village Sariharjo, Ngaglik, Sleman. Monjali itself is an acronym that is commonly known from the Monument Back Yogya. Back Yogya Monument is a monument to commemorate the attack March 1, 1945 in seizing the city of Yogyakarta from Dutch colonizers.

Inside the Monument Back Yogya, there are recordings, photographs document the events of struggle, the various types of weapons and other objects (diorama) depicting the struggle of the Indonesian people, especially the people of Yogyakarta, in the period 1945-1950.

The Presidential Palace is located right in front Vredeburg Jl. Jend. Ahmad Yani Yogyakarta. This colonial-style architecture of the building in 1842 as a residence Dutch resident. At the time of the independence struggle of the Great House is used as the official presidential residence and seat of government of the Republic of Indonesia as the capital of Indonesia in Yogyakarta. Great House at this time can only be visited by tourists through administrative procedures.
